Yeah I finally got out to the trail last weekend and it was exactly what I needed. The weather held up even though they were calling for showers in the afternoon. We started around seven in the morning and the mist was still burning off the lake. 9RqjDvczV6Z0foR The path was a bit muddy in spots but nothing too bad. We saw a couple of deer about halfway up which was a nice surprise. Made it to the summit just before noon and had lunch up there with a view that went on for miles. The descent was tougher on the knees but we took it slow. Overall a solid day out and I'm already thinking about the next one. If you want to join next time let me know I can adjust the pace.

I tried that pasta dish you mentioned and it turned out great. The sauce had a really nice depth of flavor probably because I let it simmer longer than the recipe called for.
