Southern Colorado communities reel as residents flee fast-growing Aspen Acres fire: ‘The whole sky was black’

Fueled by strong winds and single-digit humidity, the Aspen Acres fire destroyed more than 180 structures in the two counties, injured a firefighter and forced new evacuations Wednesday.
