Anchorage firefighters grapple with burnout and injuries as call volumes climb

Over the past decade, the number of 911 calls answered by the Anchorage Fire Department has more than doubled, resulting in a 60% increase in responses. Despite steadily rising call volumes, the number of firefighters employed by the Municipality of Anchorage hasn't changed.
