Carl Geyer Duce Jr. passed peacefully, with family by his side, on June 25, 2026, in Holland, MI. He was born to his late parents Carl and Doris (Jorgensen) Duce on March 1, 1939, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Carl served in the Air Force with an honorable discharge. He also married Barbara (Hamblin) Duce and together shared over 59 years together.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Hamblin) Duce; son, Brian (Viviana) Duce; grandchildren, Victoria (Luke) Drew, Tyler Duce, Julie Duce, Allison Duce; and great-grandchild Lyla Drew

Kevin Edward Reid, a longtime resident of Hanover Park, passed away unexpectedly at his home in June at age 64. Kevin was born in Kankakee, Illinois, on December 28, 1961, to his late parents, William Reid and Ann Norris Reid, and grew up in Downers Grove, where he attended Downers Grove North High School. At DGN, he was a member of the football team, a cappella choir, the track team, and served as student council president. After attending Eastern Illinois University as a history major, Kevin had a career with United Airlines for over 35 years

Diane S. Johnson was born on July 5, 1938, in Elgin, Illinois, to Don and Allie Perkins. She grew up in Elgin and graduated from high school there before beginning her nursing education at the Copley School of Nursing in Aurora, Illinois. The three-year program, affiliated with Copley Hospital, provided both classroom instruction and hands-on bedside training. Diane graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1959, beginning what would become a remarkable 44-year career in nursing
