Delaware's Congressional Delegation hosted a Veterans Resource Fair on Monday, June 22 at the DelOne Conference Center at DelTech in Dover. This event offered Veterans and their families the opportunity to access a range of services, resources, and information from federal and state agencies, as well as veterans service organizations.
Vietnam Navy Veteran Credits Wilmington VA Medical Center With Life-Saving Cancer Discovery
When Rick Rambo, a Vietnam Navy Veteran who served aboard the USS John R. Craig, visited the Emergency Room at the Wilmington VA Medical Center on September 21, 2025, he was seeking urgent help for unexpected rectal bleeding.
Rambo was quickly admitted for evaluation and observation. A CT scan performed by the Wilmington VA team promptly pinpointed the source of his bleeding—ruptured polyps in his colon—but also revealed, by chance, a tumor in his bladder.
