Code of Conduct

Let’s work together to care for you:

Your safety and health care is our top priority. Our commitment to zero harm calls for
safe, healing, and respectful environments for Veterans, visitors, and staff.

Please remain mindful of others and keep noise levels down.

 

Examples of disruptive behavior:

  • Creating loud or unusual noise
  • Obstructing entrances, lobbies, or corridors
  • Disrupting official duties of Government Employees
  • Using loud, abusive, or improper language
  • Loitering, sleeping, or unauthorized assembly on the property
  • Operating under or possessing alcohol, narcotics, or other restricted substances (unless prescribed)
  • Possession of firearms, weapons, or contraband

 

If this code of conduct is violated:

  • VA and/or local police may be contacted
  • You may be removed from the premises
  • Restrictions may be put on future visits, including the time, place, and manner of care
  • There may be restrictions on guests or visitors
  • Any restriction is applicable to all authorized VA Health Care

It is important that Veteran patients, family members, guests, and staff act in a manner consistent with 38 CFR 1.218.
