Hello from your Bay Pines VA Healthcare System, June is PTSD Awareness Month, and Bay Pines VA Healthcare System is proud to recognize this important observance by increasing awareness, reducing stigma, and connecting Veterans with resources that support healing and recovery. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can affect anyone who has experienced or witnessed a traumatic event. If you or someone you know is living with the effects of trauma, help is available, and recovery is possible. Throughout PTSD Awareness Month, Bay Pines VA is hosting outreach events designed to educate Veterans about available treatment programs, wellness resources, and supportive services that can help them live meaningful and healthy lives after trauma. Join us at one of the PTSD Awareness Outreach Events listed below: C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center Campus Thursday, June 25, 2026 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Breezeway between the Canteen and building 100
Lee County Healthcare Center Monday, June 29, 2026 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Main Lobby During each event, Veterans will receive information about several Bay Pines VA programs, including PTSD Specialty Care Programs, Suicide Prevention, the Intimate Partner Violence Assistance Program, Recreation Therapy and Whole Health, Compensated Work Therapy, and the Center for Development and Civic Engagement. PTSD treatment works. Seeking support is a sign of strength, and no Veteran has to navigate recovery alone. Together, we can raise awareness, reduce stigma, and support every Veteran's journey toward healing.
