In loving memory of Thomas Edward Hein Sr., 1944 - 2026
Thomas Edward Hein Sr., of Hoffman Estates, Illinois, passed away peacefully early on the morning of Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the age of 81, having met Parkinson's disease with the same grace and flexibility that defined his life. Born and raised in Chicago, Tom was a musician at heart from the age of six — entirely self-taught, playing everything by ear. He led his band, The Crescendos, through the parish dances and clubs of 1960s Chicago, and music remained his lifelong companion. He served ten years in the Army National Guard and built a long career as a salesman and later in the moving industry, where he treasured the daily chance to meet new people at hopeful turns in their lives
