Saturday works best for the gathering since Sunday has that family dinner you mentioned. I think starting around 3 PM gives us enough time before it gets dark. I checked and the park pavilion is available so we can use that if the weather turns. Just need to bring folding chairs and a couple of tables. For food I was thinking burgers and hot dogs since they are easy to grill and most people like them. Sarah offered to bring a side dish and Tom is handling the dessert. We should keep it simple so nobody spends too much time prepping. I can grab extra ice and drinks on the way. Let me know if you think of anything we might be missing. Also I will bring extra plates and utensils just in case.

We should probably set up a playlist ahead of time so the music is sorted. I can put one together and share it with everyone. The kids can play on the grass near the playground which is just a short walk from the pavilion. I will bring some outdoor games like cornhole and a frisbee to keep things fun. Let me know what you want to bring and I will coordinate the rest.

I went with the warm gray for the living room after testing it on the wall for a few days. It looked much better than the blue-gray which felt too cold once I saw it in different lighting. The warm gray shifts from a soft neutral in the morning to a richer tone at night which is exactly what I wanted. I already bought the primer and tape and plan to start this weekend. Moving the big shelf will take some effort but I think I can slide it out without fully emptying it if I am careful. I also need to patch a few small holes from old picture frames before I start painting.

The accent wall will be a slightly darker shade to add some contrast. I picked up a sample of it yesterday and it looks good next to the main color. I will do the cutting in first and then use a roller for the large areas. The room should feel completely different once it is done. I am looking forward to having the space feel fresh and updated. Let me know if you want to stop by and see the progress.
