Hey I finally got around to trying that trail you recommended last month. Honestly I was a bit skeptical because the elevation gain looked rough on paper but it turned out to be absolutely stunning. The switchbacks were manageable and the view from the top was worth every step. I brought way too much water because I tend to overprepare but I'd rather have extra than run out. Next time I'll pack lighter snacks though. The granola bars melted in my bag which was a disaster but still a great day overall. I think I'll go back again next weekend if the weather holds up. Let me know if you want to join because it's the kind of hike that's even better with company. CUKTT0K7zN1 I've been using that new backpack I got and it's perfect for day hikes. The trailhead is about forty minutes from town and there's usually parking even on busy weekends.

I just finished reading that sci-fi novel everyone's been talking about and I finally understand the hype. The world-building was incredible and the character arcs felt genuinely earned. I stayed up way too late three nights in a row because I couldn't put it down. The middle section dragged a tiny bit but the payoff in the last few chapters made up for it completely. I'm thinking about picking up the sequel but I usually wait a bit so I don't get burned out on the series. If you have any other recommendations in the same vein I'm all ears. I also started watching that documentary series about ocean exploration and it's surprisingly gripping. The cinematography is unreal and the footage of deep sea creatures is something I've never seen before. The narrator does a great job of explaining the science without making it feel like a lecture.
