Regarding your question about the raised bed layout, I think we should go with the L-shaped design since it fits the corner of the yard really well and gives us more planting space than a straight row. I measured the area yesterday and we have about 4 feet by 6 feet to work with so the L shape will give us good surface area without making it hard to reach the plants in the back. For soil, I was thinking a mix of compost and topsoil with some perlite mixed in for drainage. The tomatoes should go on the south side since they need the most sunlight and the herbs can go along the shorter arm of the L where they will get partial shade during the afternoon. I will pick up the lumber this weekend if that works for you. Cedar would be ideal but it is more expensive so I was thinking treated pine would hold up well for a few seasons. Let me know if you have a preference on the wood type or if you want to adjust the dimensions at all before I buy the materials. We can start assembling the frame next Saturday morning if the weather cooperates.

I also looked into getting some starter plants from the nursery on Harrison Avenue. They have a decent selection of heirloom tomato varieties and several types of basil and rosemary. I can swing by on Friday to grab what we need once we finalize the plan. Let me know your thoughts on the layout and if you want to add anything else to the mix.

About the team lunch next Friday, I checked with the manager at Rossi's and they can accommodate a group of 12 to 15 people around 12 30 PM without needing a reservation since they have that back section that is usually quiet during lunch. The menu has a good range of options from salads to pasta to sandwiches so everyone should find something they like. I was thinking we could do a separate check arrangement rather than trying to split one bill since that always gets complicated with people ordering different things. If you want, I can send out a quick note to the team asking everyone to bring cash or card and mention the time so people can plan their morning accordingly. I will also check if anyone has dietary restrictions or preferences that we should consider. Let me know if you want me to go ahead and coordinate this or if you would rather handle it yourself since you know the team better than I do.

I also wanted to ask about the agenda for the meeting after lunch. I have some updates on the project timeline and a few resource requests that I need to discuss. Nothing urgent but it would be good to get everyone on the same page before the end of the month. Let me know if you want me to prepare a quick summary or any handouts for that part of the agenda.
