We finally made it out to that hiking trail near the reservoir this past Saturday. The weather was absolutely perfect, not a cloud in the sky and a nice cool breeze. The trail was a bit more challenging than I expected, especially the steep climb near the halfway mark, but the view from the top overlooking the lake was totally worth every step. We packed a simple picnic with some sandwiches and fruit, and just sat on the rocks for about an hour soaking it all in. I saw a couple of deer on the way back down, which was a nice surprise. It felt really good to disconnect from everything for a few hours and just be outside in nature. I feel so much more refreshed and ready to tackle the work week. You should really come with us next time, I know you would love the scenery. The leaves are just starting to change color too, so it's only going to get more beautiful out there.
