GreenFlag

Dear Great Falls ES Families,

We are thrilled to announce that Great Falls ES has recently been recognized by the National Wildlife Federation as an Eco-School USA Green Flag School, one of the highest honors awarded to schools demonstrating a commitment to environmental stewardship, sustainability, and student leadership. This recognition is a reflection of the collective efforts of our students, staff, and PTA to make a positive impact on our school, community, and world. Beginning next school year, we will proudly fly the Eco-Schools Green Flag on our flagpole as a symbol of this achievement and our continued dedication to environmental responsibility.

This accomplishment would not have been possible without the leadership and dedication of our Green Team, the guidance of Mrs. Moorstein, and the enthusiastic participation of all our students. Through schoolwide recycling efforts, environmental initiatives, and our ongoing work encouraging students to give back to our community as Global and Ethical Citizens, our students have demonstrated that even small actions can make a meaningful difference. Their commitment to caring for our planet and serving their community embodies the values we strive to foster at Great Falls Elementary.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this amazing honor. We are incredibly proud of our students and staff for earning this distinction and look forward to building upon this success next year. We are working hard to create a greener, more sustainable future for all. Please stay tuned next year as we continue along this journey together.

Take care,
Sara Harper
