Welcome to the Newsletter

What an incredible month it's been. Thank you for giving Archangel's Eternity such a loving welcome.

So many of you have commented that this book feels like a love letter to the series, and honestly, I can think of no better accolade.

It was so important to me that we say a proper good-bye to these characters with whom we've flown for almost two decades. Now, they continue to fly on in our imaginations to ever more brilliant new horizons.

I turned in Eternity last year, so I've had a lot longer to sit with my feelings, and I can say with all my heart that this ending is exactly what it needed to be. I will miss writing a new Guild Hunter book each year,  but I love knowing that I gave the characters the forever they deserve.

What have I been doing in the time when I would normally be writing a GH book? Well, first, I took a sabbatical (thank you to the person who shouted out this perfect description at my live event when I was describing my break). I read, I gardened, I traveled to a bookish event as a reader and bought lots of books, I went out for coffee catchups and lunches with family and friends, and through it all, I looked back on the GH series, tracing my journey from the beginning to now - and I smiled. As I said in my note at the end of the book, what a ride it's been!

After my sabbatical, I sat down to work on a new project, the idea for which I've been sketching out for at least two years. I hope to tell you more about this project when it's ready for the world.

Soon, I'll begin writing the next Psy-Changeling book, which is the perfect time to mention that this newsletter includes the blurb for Cold Redemption.

It also features links to my recorded events and interviews for Archangel's Eternity, information about a free *spoiler filled* online event that's taking place on June 10th, plus two reading recs.

COLD REDEMPTION

When I received the final blurb for Cold Redemption, I had a second's pause where I wondered if I'd hyped up the surprise of it too much...and then I read the names in the blurb again. Nope. This story hit me sideways and never let up, and I hope the blurb makes you scream out loud.

In unexpected bonus news, I also have the striking international cover of the book below! Those eyes! Cover design by the fantastic Rachael Lancaster.

I'll send out another newsletter with the North American cover once that's final, too.

For now, I give you....

COLD REDEMPTION

A Psy-Changeling Trinity Novel

Coming December 2026

New York Times bestselling author Nalini Singh dives deep into the icy heart of a man on the brink of psychic disintegration and the only woman brilliant enough to save him.

Amara Aleine was born emotionless. A scientist with a piercing, cold intellect, the only person who matters to her is her identical twin. Some term her a psychopath. They might be right.

Pax Marshall is the epitome of Psy perfection. Raised by his ruthless grandfather, he was never permitted to be anything less. But Scarab Syndrome has ravaged his mind, until he’s now mere weeks away from total psychic collapse, insanity…and death. Any cure will come too late for him, but he is determined to spend his last weeks fighting for the rest of the afflicted.

Amara has never seen a mind as clean, as orderly, as beautiful, as Pax Marshall’s. Patient Zero. A twin just like her. And a man so cold-blooded that everyone warns her about him—when she is used to being the predator in the room.

As they work together in a hunt for the cure, Pax’s enemies deliver a violent strike. The choice Amara makes as Pax struggles to survive will have consequences far beyond anything Amara or Pax could have ever imagined.

This time, Amara might just have played herself…
