Deal of the Week
Katy Hays Heads to Pamela Dorman for Third Novel
Pamela Dorman, who has an eponymous imprint at Viking, won North American rights, at auction, to Home Economics by Katy Hays from Elisabeth Weed at the Book Group. The novel centers on a disgraced “homemaking icon” who starts squatting in “her former Hudson Valley farmhouse in hopes of winning it back and finds an unlikely ally in a college-age filmmaker who broadcasts her crusade to a national audience,” per the publisher. Foreign rights have also sold in 12 countries and counting. A pub date has not yet been announced.
