Principals' Message

Hello White Oaks Community,

Happy Friday, White Oaks Families! We have officially made it to the second-to-last Friday of the school year. Next week is packed with exciting end-of-year activities, including two different Grad Walks. While we are eagerly celebrating our successes, our students will remain focused on learning and growing right up until the final bell.

Yesterday, we had an energizing, interactive assembly with DJ Inferno where students learned all about how music is made. Everyone had a blast clapping, singing, and dancing along, and we extend a huge thank you to our incredible PTA for sponsoring this event. The fun continued today as students showed off their best moves during a Recess Dance Party, which was a special reward earned for meeting our goals during the PTA Membership Drive. The PTA is truly crucial to the success of White Oaks, and we hope to see our membership numbers grow even more next year.

A friendly reminder, if your child has any medication stored in the health room, it must be picked up by a parent or guardian before the end of the school year. Please note that any medication left behind cannot be saved and must be disposed of. You can pick it up from June 8 through June 16 between 7:30 AM and 3:00 PM, or on June 17 from 7:30 AM until 1:30 PM. Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us finish the school year strong!

All students school issued devices will be collected on Friday, June 12th. Students should bring their device and charger to school.

If your child is participating in summer learning in support of FCPS curriculum, and you would like your child to have a device, please complete the Summer Laptop Request form by June 12th.

Have a great weekend!

Melanie, Neena, & Josh

Calendar Survey

FCPS values your input as we plan future school calendars. On Friday, June 5, all caregivers and FCPS staff will receive an email from noreply@fcps.edu containing a unique link to complete the FCPS Calendar Survey.

Your feedback matters. Please take a few minutes to share your priorities and perspectives by Monday, June 22, at 11:59 p.m.

Your individual responses will be kept confidential and will not be shared with school staff or used in any way that identifies you or your student. Only aggregate, summary-level results will be reported to the Fairfax County School Board.

If you do not receive a link to the survey or have technical difficulties completing the survey, please contact the FCPS Office of Research and Program Evaluation.

Summer Immunization Events for All FCPS Students

Inspire Health Alliance, in partnership with FCPS, will be providing school-required immunizations this summer. Immunizations will be provided at no out-of-pocket cost to students or families. Registering families will be required to provide insurance information, if applicable, but students without insurance may still participate.

Visit the FCPS and Inspire Health Alliance Student Immunization Events webpage for dates, times, and locations. Additional event dates will be made available and shared four to five weeks prior to the event on the webpage. Additional immunization resources are also available.
