Happy June!!

We have officially wrapped up the first week of June, and what an unforgettable week it has been! The excitement actually kicked off last Friday when our spirited CES staff defeated Union Mill in our annual volleyball match...a truly SPIKE-tacular victory. We couldn't have done it without our spirited cheer squad keeping the energy up through all three games!! Go Eagles!

This week was busy at CES! On Tuesday, students visited with a cow, goats, sheep and chicken for Farm Day! Our extracurricular events were equally spectacular this week. Our talented fourth, fifth, and sixth graders showcased their dedication during beautiful strings concerts; a huge thank you to Ms. Henry, Ms. Taylor, and Ms. Bae for directing such wonderful performances. Additionally, our kindergarten team hosted their annual Patriotic Performance. As a proud Purple Star School, it was heartwarming to watch our youngest students honor and support our military-connected families through this meaningful presentation.

To conclude our week, Friday’s Field Day provided the perfect opportunity to celebrate the end of spring testing and begin the final countdown of the academic year. We are incredibly grateful to all the volunteers and staff who made these memories possible, and we look forward to welcoming our students back next week for our last full week of the 2025–2026 school year!

Respectfully,

Jen, Rachel, and Katelyn
