June 8:  PTA Book Bonanza–students select a summer book

June 9:  Band and Strings Concert. 2:50pm and 6:30pm

June 11:  6th Grade Recognition, 6:30pm

June 16:  Whole School EOY Assembly and Grade Level Assemblies

June 16:  Last Day for preK (not PAC)

June 17:  Last Day of School for K-6, Early Release at 1:50 (6th Grade Walkabout, 1:20pm and Clap Out) 


Camelot Yearbooks

Preordered Camelot yearbooks will be distributed on Monday, June 8.  We have 39 left to sell.  If you would like to purchase one, they are first-come, first-served.   Please reach out to Denise Oaks in the Camelot office at dmoaks@fcps.edu or 703-645-7000.  Please send in cash or a check made payable to Camelot ES for $13.00


Grade Level Assemblies

6th Grade will hold a Recognition Ceremony on Thursday, June 11 at 6:30pm.  Families are invited to attend.  6th Grade Parents/Caregivers are also invited to the 6th Grade Walkabout right before dismissal on June 17 at 1:20pm. 

Grades K-5 families are invited to attend grade level end-of-year assemblies on Tuesday, June 16.  The assemblies will be held in the library at the following times:

9:30  5th Grade

10:15 1st Grade

11:00  3rd Grade

11:45  2nd Grade

12:30  4th Grade

1:15  Kindergarten


Summer Device Request

FCPS will provide online learning resources in Math, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies to help students continue learning over the summer. Students will need a device to use these resources.  Please fill out THIS FORM if you would like your student to keep their device for the summer. The deadline to request a device is June 15.  If you have any questions, please reach out to Camelot’s Technology Specialist, Christie Fecko, at cemainesfeck@fcps.edu


Summer Resources Help Students Stay Curious, Healthy, and Busy 

FCPS’ Summer Resource Guide has activities and tips on a variety of subjects and interests, from camps and activities to health and safety resources.   Be sure to check back over the summer, as more resources may be added. 

Learning Doesn’t Take a Vacation and Neither Does Fun!The FCPS Summer Learning webpage offers ideas and strategies for families to keep students curious until August. Summer is the perfect time to help your student explore new interests, reinforce concepts, and stay engaged!

La página web Aprendiendo en el Verano de FCPS ofrece ideas y estrategias para que las familias mantengan viva  la curiosidad de los estudiantes hasta agosto. El verano es el momento perfecto para que ayude a su estudiante a explorar nuevos intereses, reforzar conceptos aprendidos y mantenerse interesado en aprender.


Summer Meals for Students

Starting Monday, June 22, no-cost meals will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis at the sites and times listed on the FCPS Summer Food Service Program webpage. Students must remain on site while eating their meals.

This year, thanks to generous support from Educate Fairfax, families may also receive one no-cost breakfast and lunch per adult at the following elementary schools: Braddock, Dogwood, Glen Forest, Hutchison, Hybla Valley, and London Towne.

Summer sites will continue to be added, so please check the Summer Food webpage regularly for updates.


Summer Immunization Events for All FCPS Students

Inspire Health Alliance, in partnership with FCPS, will be providing school-required immunizations this summer. Immunizations will be provided at no out-of-pocket cost to students or families. Registering families will be required to provide insurance information, if applicable, but students without insurance may still participate.

Visit the FCPS and Inspire Health Alliance Student Immunization Events webpage for dates, times, and locations. Additional event dates will be made available and shared four to five weeks prior to the event on the webpage. Additional immunization resources are also available.
