Economic volatility leads to lower supply chain salaries
Supply chain professionals saw a decrease in salaries and job satisfaction in 2025 amid economic challenges such as fluctuating tariffs and inflation, according to a survey by DC Velocity, the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals and Supply Chain Xchange. US job growth exceeds expectations in May
Job growth in the US exceeded expectations in May, with nonfarm payrolls rising by 172,000 versus an expected 80,000, and the unemployment rate remaining at 4.3%, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Leisure and hospitality led job creation with 70,000 jobs, followed by local government with 55,000. Average hourly earnings increased by 0.3% from April and by 3.4% year over year.
