Kevin Jay Margeson, age 73, passed away May 27, 2026, at Holy Family Medical Center in Des Plaines, IL, where he had been fighting a critical illness for the last few weeks. Kevin (the cutest baby there ever was, according to himself) was born in Lake Forest IL, on July 4, 1952 to Kenneth and Patricia Margeson. Attending Highland Park High School, he participated in football and track. He had a happy childhood with his siblings, Susan, Mike, and Julie. He married Jaye Barlow in 1975 and they recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Kevin was an amazing father to Neil and Jenna in Gurnee, IL. He was always active as Cub Scout Den Leader and Warren Township Football Coach. Involved Grandfather to Ava, Parker, and Vince, founding "Grandpa's Day Care." He was a dedicated employee to the US Post Office
for over 35 years. He had a huge love for the Green Bay Packers. As an owner with gold tickets, he attended countless games at Lambeau. Kevin had a passion for music, playing guitar and singing with his friends at open mics. He loved spending time in the family home in Minocqua, Wisconsin. He enjoyed golfing and fishing, especially with his best friend Bob Lindstrom. Declared "Mayor of the Cul-de-sac" he was a friendly and fun neighbor. Truly the life of the party. He is survived by his wife, Jaye; daughter, Jenna (Dan) Madia; daughter-in-law, Amy; grandchildren, Ava, Parker, and Vince. Siblings, Susan (Phil) Kline, Michael Margeson, and Julie (Ray) Moore. Brother-in-law, Buz (Karen) Barlow. Kevin was predeceased by his parents, Kenneth and Patricia; and his beloved, son Neil. A Celebration of Life (or as Kevin wanted, a
FUNeral) will be held at the Margeson Residence on Saturday June 13, 2026. Open house from 2p-11p. Packers Gear encouraged.

As a young man, he was also an Eagle Scout, lifeguard at the Elgin YMCA, and worked at the YMCA's Camp Edwards in southern Wisconsin. Patricia Diane Kennelly, Patty, or PK to those who knew and loved her, passed away surrounded in love on April 27, 2026. She was 52 years old. Patty's greatest legacy is her three strong, smart, talented, funny, loving boys, Finnegan Thomas (16), Lachlan Sexton (13), and Brogan Francis (11). Patty married her love, Lisa A. Swanson, two years ago, September 14, 2024. Lisa, the boys, and Patty's beloved family - her sisters, Maura Kennelly and Mary Kennelly (Chris Dahlhauser), and her parents, Tom and Mary Kennelly, were all with Patty as she passed from this world.
We take comfort knowing that Patty was welcomed with open and loving arms by her grandparents, Gene and Mae O'Brien (Woodstock, Illinois) and John and Jane Kennelly (Park Ridge, Illinois), her Aunt Diane and Uncle Tom O'Brien, her Aunt Ann Stover, her Uncle Gene O'Brien, her Uncle Martin Kennelly, and her Uncle Kevin Kennelly. Patty leaves behind 24 first cousins and many more family members who keenly feel her loss.
Patty grew up in Wonder Lake, Illinois, and attended Woodstock public schools, where she excelled in band and academics and was a talented athlete in both track and field and basketball. Growing up, Patty was surrounded by the love and support of her large and loving family. She was the adored oldest sister of three girls. She and her sisters, Maura and Mary, share a bond that was strengthened over years of learning and growing together and supporting each other through life's joys and challenges. Her parents, Tom and Mary, laid a foundation of love and support that enabled Patty to excel in all of her endeavors and reach for her highest goals
