John Frank Grom, age 82, passed away unexpectedly on April 26, 2026. Though he recently made his home in Tennessee, he spent the majority of his life in Gurnee, IL and Pleasant Prairie, WI. He was born September 13, 1943 in Kenosha, WI, to the late Frank and Victoria Grom.
John spent most of his working life as a cement mason, a trade that reflected the hardworking man that he was. Later in life, he owned and operated a local concrete business for many years. In Loving Memory of
Frank J. Dawson
Dec. 10, 1923 - May 18, 2013
Dearest Dad -
Thirteen years ago we had to unwillingly say goodbye. Your memory and legacy lives on in our hearts and minds. We miss you every day, and wish you were still here, but we are so glad that you don't have to deal with these very trying times. We know that you are surrounded by family and friends that went before you. Our brother John, your beloved Val, and your son-in-law Chris have since joined you. The thought that you were there to welcome them eases the loss we feel. Please watch over us until we see each other again
