Our 2nd grade student ambassadors have started training our 1st graders to become the next friendly faces greeting students each morning. We love seeing our students lead with kindness, confidence, and school spirit!

A Note From Bailey's Administration

Hi Bailey’s Tigers!

The temperatures are finally warming up and it might start feeling a bit like summer, but we still have one full month of school remaining before our last day on Wednesday, June 17. Let’s make sure our students are at school every day so we can finish the year strong! This is also the last week of the Virginia Language and Literacy Screening System (VALLSS) testing window, and we are so excited for our students to finish up and show how much they have grown as readers and learners this year.

We have a few important schedule reminders for the week ahead, including a 3-hour early release. Students will be dismissed at 12:45 PM unless you have confirmed or requested an alternate plan for supervision. Mr. Downing, our Assistant Principal, sent out reminders via TalkingPoints regarding your dismissal preferences last week; if you have any updates, please call our main office as soon as possible so we can ensure everyone gets home safely.

Lastly, we are so looking forward to our Field Days this week! This is always such a memorable event for our students, and to help us keep things safe and organized, we kindly ask that families do not come to the field unless they have already signed up and been selected as a volunteer. Our schedule will be as follows: on Thursday, May 21, Kindergarten will be out from 9:15–11:15 AM and First Grade will follow from 1:00–3:00 PM. Then on Friday, May 22, Second Grade will have their turn from 9:30–11:30 AM. Thank you for helping us make this a safe, fun, and successful event for all our Tigers! Let's make it a great week.
