Join us as we honor the rich history and lasting legacy of the Dunn Loring building, a space that has served generations of students, staff, and families since its establishment in 1939.
Originally built as the Dunn Loring School through federal Public Works Administration funding, this historic building later evolved into a welcome center with resources to support the broader FCPS community. Now, as the division prepares to return it to its original purpose as a school, we gather to celebrate its remarkable journey and the many memories created within its walls.
This special event will commemorate the building’s heritage, recognize its meaningful role across decades, and mark the closing of this chapter before demolition and reconstruction begin for its exciting new future.
Together, we celebrate the past while looking ahead to the next generation of learning at Dunn Loring.
