Napoleon Solo won the 151st Preakness Stakes after taking control entering the homestretch and pulling away to hold off prerace favorite Iron Honor.

The horse, trained by Chad Summers, entered the race at 7-1 odds.

This was a surprising win because Napoleon Solo had finished fifth in both of his starts this year, including the Wood Memorial.
