Take our Visual Inspection training courses

Register for our Visual Inspection instructor-led training course May 20-21 in Seattle to learn the fundamentals of visual inspection, including regulatory requirements, manual and automated visual drug inspection, defect classification strategies, training, qualification and challenges. Compounded drugs must be carefully inspected for particles, discoloration, contamination, leaks and defects. Visual inspection is a critical safeguard to ensure patient safety.

We encourage you to take our newly launched Introduction to Visual Inspection self-guided online training course to prepare for the instructor-led Visual Inspection training course.

These training courses and others are in collaboration with the Parenteral Drug Association.

Additional training opportunities

Visit the instructor-led and self-guided online webpages for more training courses.

FDA’s Compounding Quality Center of Excellence aims to improve the quality of compounded drugs, especially those made at outsourcing facilities. We encourage outsourcing facilities and others to get involved with the Center of Excellence by taking our training courses, in-person and online, attending our annual conference and other activities.
