Meet The Devil Wears Prada 2’s Unproblematic Love Interest |
How does Australian actor Patrick Brammall feel about his performance as Peter, the love interest of Anne Hathaway’s Andy Sachs in The Devil Wears Prada 2? “I didn’t suck,” he tells Savannah Walsh. “That’s the main thing, just dodging the humiliation of not being good.” In fact, Brammall is great in the movie—charming and unassuming, and not at all likely to launch internet theories about how he’s the film’s real villain, like Adrian Grenier’s character, Nate, did after the first film. Brammall, for the record, is a Nate defender: “It was quite unfair because that character’s job was to go, ‘Hey, you’re making a deal with the devil. You’re forgetting who you are.’ Then in the ensuing years, he’s become demonized. I’m sure he’s fine with it. He’s a very good actor.”
