That's according to a letter from emergency medicine physician and MUHC trauma team leader Joe Nemeth.
Children and adolescents are not arriving at the ER because they are “dramatic," Nemeth writes — they are arriving with anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidality and severe behavioural crises that need urgent assessment.
