Principal's Message
Langley families,
As we gear up for testing season, I wanted to reach out and ask for your help in ensuring our students are prepared to take their exams.
The FCPS Chromebook must be used for all testing, including AP and SOL testing.
It is essential that each student bring their school-issued Chromebook to school each day. If your student has not been using their school-issued Chromebook, they will need to connect to our network before their testing time.
Students will not be allowed to test without their school-issued Chromebook. I encourage students to bring their school-issued Chromebook and leave other devices at home for the remainder of the school year.
We also need parent volunteers to help proctor exams (we will administer over 4,000 tests in May). If you have time to share with our school community, we would really appreciate it. Details below.
Thank you so much for your support. We truly appreciate your partnership.
Have a wonderful week.
Mr. Stroud
Prom Season is here!
Juniors & Seniors are invited to a Great Gatsby themed evening of music, dancing, and celebration on May 2nd at Capital One Hall in Tysons from 8 to 11 PM.
E-tickets are available using this link. To purchase a ticket, enter the student ID number as the subscription ID. Please note, all financial obligations (graduation dues, parking fines, missing textbook charges, etc.) must be cleared in MySchoolBucks prior to purchasing a ticket. Buy your tickets before the price increases to $90 on 4/25!
If you plan to bring a guest despite whether they attend Langley or another school, you must complete an Event Guest Form. All guest forms must be submitted to Mrs. Taweel in the Front Office by Monday, April 27th. Forms are available in the Front Office, Student Services, and Student Activities.
A few parent volunteers are needed to make the night a success. Sign up to help here.
Urgent Need for AP Exam Proctors
Over 4,000 AP exams will be administered from May 4-15. In addition to the Student Services team, who will oversee the exams, parent volunteers are needed to assist in handing out and collecting materials and supervising the test. Test proctoring runs about 4 hours per test, and the exams generally begin at 8 am and 12 pm.
Please consider volunteering for this important event and helping support our Student Services team! There are MANY slots still open. Please note: you may NOT proctor a test your student is taking. See what’s available and sign up here

Digital AP Testing
Dear Parent/Guardian of AP Students:
In 2026, FCPS high schools will be giving the digital and hybrid exams to students registered for AP Exams. Students will be taking these exams on their FCPS-issued Chromebooks. To minimize issues on exam day, it is critical that all students bring their Chromebooks FULLY CHARGED. Each student should also have their own power cord as a backup. We will be sending out additional reminders about charged laptops and power cords along with your student’s AP exam schedule in the coming weeks. Please remind your student(s) to check their school email account daily for important testing information. Please reference the FCPS Digital AP Testing site for information about digital AP Testing and answers to Frequently Asked Questions. Questions can be directed to your child’s AP teacher. Students will receive information from their AP teachers to help support your student and their technology needs for testing.
FCPS Chromebook & Charger for Testing
As testing season approaches, it’s important to bring the required materials to your test! On the day of your SOL or digital AP exam, bring your fully charged FCPS Chromebook and charger. If you do not bring your Chromebook and charger, you may be unable to test. If you do not have an FCPS Chromebook checked out to you, go to the tech office before the day of your exam.
