One of the biggest misconceptions in fitness is that abs are 'built in the kitchen'

Wrong.

They're built in the gym, just like any other muscle:

Of course, if you're carrying too much body fat you won't see them.

But isn't that the same as ANY other muscle?

I lost a ton of fat and was disappointed that I could barely see my abs.

Turns out, they were small.

So I started training them like any other muscle, because they are a muscle.

Close to failure. Aiming to get stronger.

They grew.

Now they're visible even when I have a higher body fat %.

And when I do lose fat.. they *pop* extra.

So, which exercises are best?

Leg raise variations, like the picture above - bringing your belt buckle toward the ribs.

Sit up variations, where you're bringing your ribs down toward your belt buckle.

(The Only 2 Exercises You Need For Six Pack Abs)

No flutter kicks. No bicycle crunches.

Train them properly. You won't be disappointed next time you lose weight.
