After finding unexpected success plumbing the dark corners of his life in Baby Reindeer, Richard Gadd is back with a project shades darker than his breakout series. Half Man, a limited series on Crave, follows two Glaswegian brothers who cast Cain and Abel's relationship in a new light, writes J. Kelly Nestruck. The screenwriter spoke with Nestruck about his approach to queer themes, whether he regrets framing Baby Reindeer as a personal story and why he won’t shy away from dark corners.

Sophy Romvari’s directorial effort, set on Vancouver Island, is one of the strongest debuts in a long time, says Barry Hertz.
