Separate developments at The Trade Desk and Magnite point to broader leadership recalibration across the sector. The Trade Desk’s recent senior departures — widely framed as a “changing of the guard” — were followed by a C-suite reshuffle at Magnite.

Last week, the supply-side platform confirmed the exits of CMO David Hertog, CPO Adam Soroca, and CSO Erik Hovanec. The changes are understood to have been made with a view to sharpening Magnite’s commercial posture and deepening buy-side alignment, underscored by expanded remits for Sean Buckley (president, revenue & market strategy) and Katie Evans (president, product & operations).

One industry source said the overhaul accelerates a pivot away from a more “purely strategic product approach,” adding: “It’s a very clear change in direction.”
