WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU LOOKED IN YOUR MEDICINE CABINET?
Drug take-back programs are a safe method for disposing of over-the-counter and prescription drugs so they don't fall into little hands, and are organized and closely monitored by local, state, and federal government agencies. Safe disposal of unused or expired medications prevents drug misuse and accidental poisoning, and also protects the environment. Most pharmacies have a marked bin for safely disposing of expired or unused medications. The CVS in Chain Bridge Center at 1452 Chain Bridge Center has one in the back of the store by the pharmacy.
For more information on why this is important, please visit FDA safe medicine disposal!

Turtles, Turtles, More Turtles
Your student may have shared the news that last weekend 14 baby turtles were found in Speedy's pond. They are from the same clutch as the previous babies, but were hiding in the mud all winter!
Please help us spread the word in the community by asking friends and neighbors if they would like to adopt a baby Red-Eared Slider! For more information, please email Haycock's librarian: Ms. Sklar
