Up Close and Personal With Euphoria’s Villains

And you thought Rue was in trouble before. Season three of Euphoria finds Zendaya’s wayward, now nominally adult character caught between two fearsome drug lords: Laurie, played by the wonderfully deadpan Martha Kelly, and Alamo Brown, a gun-toting, strip-club-owning Black cowboy played by British actor Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. Both actors caught up with Chris Murphy before the premiere of the new season, breaking down what it’s like to play Rue’s big bad bosses—and whether Euphoria is a big enough town for the two of them.
