Rain is falling outside my window as I write this, and I'm about to go for a rainy day walk. I love the sound of rain - especially when it comes to being  tucked up inside while writing or reading.

Prior to the rain, we had a long and mostly sunny weekend in NZ, and I spent much of it outside in the garden, cutting back the foliage, picking the last of the blueberries, and starting to prep the garden for autumn.

Today, I'm back at my desk and wondering if I should break out the candles for this moody, rainy day.

Talking of moody, if you haven't yet read my latest thriller, Such a Perfect Family, it's out in all formats, and just released in German as Wenn Liebe Tötet. I hope you enjoy this dark tale of the secrets families keep.

COLD REDEMPTION (Psy-Changeling Trinity)

Some of you have already spotted the pre-order for the next Psy-Changeling Trinity novel. (Eagle eyes!) The pre-order isn't yet live everywhere, as this is to be a December 2026 release. 

Why December instead of the usual July-Aug release date? 

Because I turned in the book late. Not super duper late, but late enough that it wouldn't be ready for publication at the usual time. 

When this happens, the publisher has to find the next available open spot in their publishing schedule - which happened to be December. Think of it as an early holiday gift!

The more interesting question is why was I late? 

Well...possibly because I was writing a whole different Psy-Changeling book that I had planned out and decided would work perfectly with the overall series arc. Except, it didn't work. Meanwhile, I had the most er unexpected couple of the series telling me that the reason it wasn't working was because I was supposed to be writing their story.

I realized very quickly that this pairing was, in fact, inevitable. 

Even if I had no idea how it would work.

Driven by the compulsion that this was meant to be, I surrendered to these two. And the words just flew. Obsessed, I was obsessed. I still am. I LOVE this book and I can't wait to tell you more about it. (I did recently tell someone else about this particular pairing and they almost fell over, so prepare yourself.)

More to come after the book has been through edits and I have a blurb.

One final reminder that if you want a copy of the US mass market edition of the book, please pre-order it. Given the shift to trade paperback books across the board, once the mass market copies are gone, I can't guarantee a reprint in the same size. 

As you will have seen, the Psy-Changeling paperbacks have already shifted to trade. The only reason Eternity is releasing in mass market is because my editor and I both agree that it's important the series finale release in the same size as the previous books. So grab your copy in the first print run if you want to ensure you have a matching set. 

I haven't received my author copies yet, and I CANNOT WAIT to have the complete collection on my shelves!
