Dear Reader,

We embarked six weeks ago on a journey of discovery, a celebration of local restaurants and how they contribute to vibrant neighbourhoods.

Our reporters sought out culinary-rich streets across Metro Vancouver that everyone should try to visit.

The weekly Eat Streets series was set to conclude at the end of April, but it is being extended for an additional 10 weeks because you requested for more.

You told us how much you are enjoying the series and enthusiastically promoted other spots to visit.

So that’s what we are going to do: Visit the places you think we should go.

Each reporter will invite a reader who suggested the street to join them for lunch and help us understand what makes their street so special.

Make sure you're logged into our website to read the six Eat Streets stories published so far, which can be found here. We will take you to Kitsilano, New Westminster, White Rock and Yaletown over the next four weeks. Then it’s on to the readers' choices in May and June.

Don’t forget to enter our Eat Streets contest for a chance to win $600 in gift cards to restaurants featured in the series.

Please keep the Eat Street suggestions coming in to me at hmunro@postmedia.com.

Who knows? You may get a lunch invitation.
