Trump was pathetic last night. I don’t have much else to say about his “address to the nation,” supposedly about the war he started. He had nothing new to say, we’ve heard it all for weeks now, and it was all lies. A lot of false claims and bravado. He also stumbled on his words a few times and was very low energy. I didn’t really expect more, and I almost stopped watching, but kept going…not sure why.
I do want to show you a photo from the front page of the NY Times. Most people might not notice what I see, on first glance, it appears like another photo of him speaking. But to use this image on the front page is telling. Here he looks desperate, the framing of the photo makes him look weak. These choices are not random, the editors decided to run this photo to say something without obviously saying, “Trump is pathetic.” They can do that in so many words in editorials; I think they did so in their choice of this photo at the top of the front page this morning.

After his speech, into the night, Trump went to social media to blast out on personal grudges, including attacking Bruce Springsteen. “The guy is a total loser who spews hate against a President who won a Landslide Election, including the popular vote, all Seven Swing States, and 86% of the Counties across America,” Trump wrote. “MAGA SHOULD BOYCOTT HIS OVERPRICED CONCERTS, WHICH SUCK. SAVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY.”

Trump is talking about firing Pam Bondi and replacing Telsi Gabbard. He already got rid of Kristi Noem. The women are taking the fall.
