~Gayle Forman I’m flying in a shoebox. The thought raced through my mind as we ascended through the clouds. Two weeks earlier, I had told my boss that I needed time off to go help the survivors of Haiti’s earthquake. I’d been overwhelmed by work, and I just needed to do something different, hence this out-of-character decision.
