With a healthy Aaron Gordon, Peyton Watson and Spencer Jones back in the rotation, the Nuggets coaching staff just might have found a salve for the franchise’s eternal ‘non-Jokic-minutes’ quandary. And it’s an old, familiar friend, too — the small, center-less lineup.

Friday provided yet another game that amplified the league-wide confusion about what exactly this Nuggets team is.

Cam Johnson buried a 3-pointer with 45 seconds left off a Nikola Jokic offensive rebound, capping a 21-5 run to end the game Friday.

“Watching people through their ascension and getting to where they want to go, that’s when people are the most supportive because they feel like they’re in early,” Peyton Watson said of the outside perception of Jokic. “They’re buying stock early. But when everybody knows you’re great, the only thing left to do is hate.”

Rarely do Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic both put together career nights at the same time. They treated Denver to a special performance as a duo Wednesday.
