Samsung's Car-to-Home feature puts digs on cruise control

Samsung is expanding its SmartThings ecosystem with a new Car-to-Home feature that lets drivers control appliances such as lights, air conditioning and security systems from their car's dashboard. Initially rolling out in select Hyundai and Kia vehicles, the feature also enables location-based automation, turning homes into responsive environments as drivers arrive or leave.

LG Display has begun mass production of Oxide 1Hz LCD panels for laptops, which can switch between 1 Hz and 120 Hz refresh rates to save battery life by up to 48%. The first laptops to use these panels will be Dell's XPS lineup, and LG Display plans to extend this technology to OLED panels by 2027 as part of its carbon emission reduction initiative.
