As we continue building momentum this school year, our focus remains on ensuring every student is prepared, confident, and set up for success—especially as we approach SOL testing. Our students have been working hard, and now is the perfect time for families to stay engaged and support that effort at home.
We encourage all families to attend our Parent Coffee this Thursday. This is a valuable opportunity to learn how to best support your student as they prepare for the upcoming SOL assessments. We will share important information, tips, and resources to help ensure every student is confident and ready to succeed. We look forward to seeing you there!

On Monday, April 6, parents and guardians of Whitman Middle School will receive an email with a link to the FCPS Principal Evaluation Parent/Guardian Feedback Form. This questionnaire is part of the Performance Evaluation Program and provides an opportunity to share anonymous feedback about our school’s leadership and environment.
Topics covered in the survey include:

We're thrilled to invite you to join us for an unforgettable experience at one of the CTE summer enrichment programs! These week-long programs will introduce you to the wonderful world of Career and Technical Education, help you develop new skills, and make new friends.
Our programs offer a wide range of activities designed to spark your curiosity and keep you engaged. You will have the opportunity to learn coding, problem solving, cooking, and more! Our experienced and enthusiastic teachers are dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and fun environment where you can challenge yourself and discover new passions.

We are able to offer a limited number of students currently in grades 2-11 at a Code UP! grant school with a one-week registration at no cost! If you are interested in this opportunity, please fill out the interest form linked below by April 15th.

As the Academic Advising and Course Selection period draws to a close, we want to ensure all families feel confident about their child's educational path. To facilitate this, we would like to highlight a new feature in SIS ParentVUE that allows parents and guardians to easily review and acknowledge their student's course requests for the 2026-27 school year. We understand that this process can sometimes bring questions, and we encourage you to contact your school directly for support or assistance
Instructions:
- Log into your ParentVUE account.
- Navigate to the Course Request module.
- Review your student’s course request list for next school year.
To complete the acknowledgment:
- Navigate to the Student Info module.
- Click Edit Information.
- Locate the Course Request Acknowledgment field.
- Update the acknowledgment field to Yes to confirm review.
- Click Save Changes.
