Roadrunner Rundown
March 23, 2026
Principal's Message
Dear Marshall Road Families,
The Madison Pyramid is looking forward to celebrating “Our Shared Home” by joining together for our Day of Service on Wednesday, April 15. As we shared last month, this day moves us to learn outside the walls of the classroom and helps our students grow as Ethical and Global Citizens. Hands-on-service will allow students to see that they have the power to strengthen their community through intentional, compassionate action. MRES students and staff will participate through different projects at each grade level. Later this week, we will send out “Wish Lists” for each project for materials that will help us to bring these acts of service to life. After Spring Break, we will share the Day of Service schedule and if it fits into your day to join your child you will be welcomed to do so. We look forward to partnering with you to make this day a success.
There will be no school on the following days:
- March 30-April 3 - Spring Break
- April 6 - Teacher Workday
- April 10 - School Planning Day
Have a great week.

AAP Parent Orientation
We are sending this message out prematurely so that parents have time to prepare for the Fulltime AAP Parent Orientation. The Orientation is for parents of students who are found eligible for fulltime AAP services. The eligibility emails should arrive from the AAP Central Office within the next two weeks.
The AAP Parent Orientation will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 9:30-10:45 am in the library. It will include an information session and tour through several local level AAP classrooms.

SOL Dates
Our Spring Standards of Learning (SOL) tests are coming up in May. These assessments measure the extent to which students have learned the content and skills reflected in state standards. The content tested varies by grade level. See below for the scheduled dates this Spring. Please contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions about the assessment. We ask that you do not schedule appointments on the day of your child’s SOL test. Please contact Kelly Willis if you know your child will be absent on the day of testing.
