Here’s the truth of it all

(Not many people want to hear this, so buckle up.)

Every business has a lead problem.

Why?

Because the day a client signs with you, they start falling out love with you.

The countdown begins.

When the clock hits “zero,” they leave.

They cancel the subscription.

Shut off the service.

That’s assuming your business has a recurring model.

If you only sell one-offs, the problem gets worse.

CRAZY TANGENT INCOMING:

This is why I’m getting more angry at low ticket products.

Gurus: “Make an ebook, price it at $11, and watch the money roll in!”

What money?

The $11?

One time?

Which gets me what?

A glass of vegan chocolate milk?

And to be clear.

Low ticket stuff can work.

As long as you build a process that allows your $11 customers to become $11k customers.

And even then:

$11k won’t solve your problems forever.

So we’re back at leads.

Anyway.

The day you stop generating leads is the day your business starts dying.

The sooner you embrace this fact, the better.

Where can you get these beloved leads?

How can you access an endless parade of people to give you money?

Option 1 is paid ads.

Throw a little money around.

Grease the algo.

Have those leads sliding your way.

Sounds good in theory.

And I willingly admit there is a group of people pulling it off. They’ve done the proper accounting for ad fatigue, algorithm changes, CPC fluctuations, various buyer motivations, ROAS, etc.

Me, I prefer the simpler route.

I wake up and post on social media.

Sometimes 12 times in a day.

Sometimes just once.

Every time with full confidence that I’m moving forward.

Post -> attention -> leads -> money

There’s a decade worth of nuance in that “just post” part, of course.

Like:

• What makes people respond to your content?
• What makes followers loyal to you?
• How can you get respect without all the cheesy bragging?
• If you haven't achieved much, how can you still gain respect?
