How Illinois voted in the US Senate race

In the race to fill retiring U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin's seat, more than a dozen Democratic and Republican hopefuls threw their hats in the ring. Lt. Gov. Juliana Stratton clinched the Democratic nomination, coming up on top of a double-digit ballot featuring multiple members of Congress. The Associated Press called the race for Stratton at 9:38 p.m. on Tuesday.
