The first craftsperson many of us ever know is our mum. The way she creates belonging through small rituals. The food she cooks. The plates she chooses. The tablecloth she brings out without thinking. Always the same, always knowing what is needed and what is too much. Those early repetitions settle into us and shape our inner worlds. Craft begins there, not as art or technique, but as love made visible through doing.
