National Radiotherapy Event (RTE) Workshop

Advancing Safer Radiotherapy through shared learning

Date: Tuesday 16th June 2026

Location: Novotel, Birmingham Centre, 70 Broad Street, Birmingham, B1 2HT

The Patient Safety in Radiotherapy Steering Group (PSRT), are delighted to announce a national workshop on Tuesday 16th June 2026 to support the application and analysis of the National Patient Safety RTE taxonomy.

Planned as a single day event, this workshop aims to facilitate shared learning and networking between radiotherapy professionals. The attached programme features collaborative, highly interactive sessions to support providers in the adoption of the recently refined  National Patient Safety RTE taxonomy and assesses the practical implications of Advancing Safer Radiotherapy.

We would like to take this opportunity to invite a nominated representative from your radiotherapy service, with an active interest in this work, to attend. Registration is free of charge and booking is essential as spaces are limited. If a second member of staff would like to attend, please indicate this on the registration form. A second place may be allocated where possible, on a first come first served basis.

You are welcome to share information about the event with colleagues who may wish to attend. However, as places are limited, please ensure one registration form is returned from your service indicating a maximum of two nominated representatives.

Please complete the attached registration form by 3rd April 2026 and return to radiotherapy@ukhsa.gov.uk with the email title: NRTE Workshop 2026.

We look forward to welcoming you on the day. In the meantime, if you have any questions about the workshop, please contact us via email at:radiotherapy@ukhsa.gov.uk.
