Live Nation, the parent company of Ticketmaster, has successfully avoided a breakup — a major development in one of the most high-profile antitrust cases in decades.

The company and the Justice Department reached a surprise settlement, following a week of testimony during an antitrust trial that threatened to potentially separate the world’s largest live entertainment company.

Notably, states can continue to press their own claims outside of the DOJ.
