State Rep. James Talarico won the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate in Texas. Talarico defeated U.S. Rep. Jasmine Crockett on Tuesday. Talarico, who represents an Austin-area district in the Texas House, is a former middle school teacher and a Presbyterian seminarian who often references the Bible and Jesus' teachings. |
