UNF opens esports, innovation arena for students

The University of North Florida has opened The Flight Deck, an esports and innovation arena designed to enhance technology education and bolster the local workforce. Supported by a $3 million investment from Jacksonville, the facility features 42 gaming stations, a competition stage, a broadcast studio and a console gaming area. The location is expected to attract national competitions and boost the local economy.

NYU introduces device-free initiative to foster connections
NYU launched the NYU IRL (In Real Life) initiative, inspired by Jonathan Haidt's "The Anxious Generation." The program brings together faculty, staff, alumni and especially students to cultivate device-free interactions and encourage meaningful, face-to-face connections. The initiative spans NYU's campuses in New York City, Abu Dhabi and Shanghai, offering resources for device-free classrooms, extracurricular activities and student-driven programming.
