Denver police are investigating a suspected homicide after a man died in the city’s Kennedy neighborhood early Sunday morning, according to the department.

Ernest Cunningham, a man convicted of murder for shooting a Denver woman in her apartment, was sentenced Friday to more than four decades in prison, according to court records.
