We all know bad filler when we see it: overfilled cheeks known as “pillow face,” puffy lips and distorted proportions that leave someone looking like a caricature of their former selves. And with the rise of celebrities dissolving their filler and growing transparency around cosmetic surgery—not to mention ever younger people looking into blepharoplasties, brow lifts and facelifts—it might seem like the era of filler is on its way out.
